Okay, I want to hear some theories along the lines of what the best uses are for a forum such as this one. (An Online Forum) -OR- Give me some pros and cons along the lines of: Online Forums vs. Passing Notes in Class vs. Google Wave vs. Instant Messaging

OK then. Best uses for Online Threads: --- Reply back, just like this Entertain yourself by reading post Way to burn free time --- Online Forums vs. Passing Notes in Class vs. Google Wave vs. Instant Messaging --- Online Forums: Pros: Multi-task and post comments Cons: Can take a while for people to reply --- Passing Notes in Class: Pros: Gets to people quicker Cons: Demerits if caught --- Google Wave: Never heard of it --- Instant Message: Pros: Instant (duh) Cons: No multi-tasking --- Overall: Online Forums Wins!

Eh, Instant Messaging is very effective for many things. It's great for wonderfully quick communication.

Agreed. Although, texting is wonderful, I must admit. I love texting my fiancée out in Utah wherever I go. It feels like she's always with me, and that's wonderful.
