I got Alloy of Law. They have guns. Like, western-style revolvers and shotguns.

Gosh, I can't wait to read that one. Right now I'm still waiting for my wifelet to finish up the second book. I've been conjuring a good story-idea for a Mistborn RP; however, I'm not sure if I want to share the idea. *chuckles*. I do wish to start a Mistborn RP nevertheless. I think we should come up with characters for it. Oh, and I want them to be mistings. I do believe that I wish to have a... Smoker. That will be my main character for this RP. I'll be thinking up a personality and traits while I wait for your choice. Brothers? I think brothers would be cool. Kinda like a Kelsier / Marsh, except... a healthier relationship.

In Alloy of Law there are mistings, and sometimes the rare full power Ferchemist, but most people with powers are called Twinborn. One Allomantic and one Ferchemic power. It's interesting, but I don't think there are Twinborn in the Pre-Assention Era. (Can't tell you why without ruining the end of Hero of Ages)
Anyways, I like either a Thug/Pewter Arm or a Coinshot or a Soother/Rioter (They can produce the same effects, so I don't have a preference...)
So, are we going to be Skaa or Nobles?

Well... we can decide. I think it'd be fun to have mostly Skaa and a few rebel-Nobles. (Noble children or house members that have decided to turn rogue and rob some places while still maintaining the guise of being a noble).
I think we should, for now, stick with Mistings. Pick one of those powers and we'll start up a story. (Also, Soothers and Rioters are differing powers, though Sanderson seems to meld them a bit in the books. Soothers, as far as I understand, cannot pick a specific emotion and riot it... they can, however, soothe all others so that one stands out. The difference is subtle, but in the end it could change the way that one RP's)

True. I think I like Soothers a bit more. So, on the topic of names... I have no idea. No one has normal names or names that follow patterns.
How about we are a Thieving Den and we all have code names. Yeah! It could be in the time of Kelsier and he is like our hero so we made a group trying to be like his. We could be in the background of the entire first book!

Good idea, good idea. Perhaps though, rather than be like his, we simply try to adapt some of his methods and then remain our entity, possibly hoping to one day be a competitor or rival to the Infamous Band of Kelsier.
What think ye?

I like it. So we would be almost spying on him to try and be better than them? So, how many people in our crew? I was thinking 3 to 5 maybe? (We could be those other people in the waiting room back in book 1 at the beginning)

Hah! That's a pretty good idea. I like the idea of being in the waiting room at the beginning; however, I think we should pretty much stay away from Kelsier's group for the most part. Perhaps an occasional reference to Camon or something... but for the most part, steer clear of them. Just write our own story within the confines of the Mistborn Realm.
Perhaps we start with just your character and mine doing some tiny job... then we could begin establishing a crew.

I have ripped some of the posts from this thread to create the new Molding Table thread. Discussion may continue in this thread though. Multiple Mistborn RP's would not be a bad thing!

Yes, did you see that he is planning on writing another Mistborn book? I believe it is due for 2014.

Yup! He was working on writing the story for the Mistborn video game. (He wrote 98% of the dialog, so it's gunna be good and on track. )

I hope that video game isn't a wretched fail. I've got eerie-Eragon-like feelings. Great book... Movie should never be mentioned... Ever.

I've heard there is a movie in the works, but Sanderson is like a massive player in it. As in writing and directing and all the deets. Hopefully it won't be terrible. :c

I honestly don't know how that guy has enough hours in a day. He is writing so many books and teaching and helping to direct that movie and a video game... Ridiculous. He must be an insomniac.
