Sean wiped the sweat from his brow and found some blood as well from when that stupid Russian hit him in the head with the butt of his shotgun for attempting to go and get a drink. Sean was mad, yet there was this fear coursing through his veins which could not be tamed. He kept seeing the Russian guy's face and then Whitney's and the gun... Sean kept refusing to let his mind finish the story. He had to get this Selena girl. He couldn't even remember what she looked like. He had seen maybe one of her movies...
Sean rounded the last set of stairs and slammed out of the doors to the apartment building. As he took his first step onto the sidewalk his mind suddenly realized that if he was stopped by a police officer, the officer would find a 9mm that is not registered, or at least not registered to Sean, and he'd find no ID, and he'd find a bit of blood on his forehead. 'That'd be a bad scenario' Sean said in his mind. 'Focus! You idiot!' Sean began to walk towards the gas station, gun in his inside jacket pocket and eyes on every single person walking in and out of the gas station.

Selena shook her head in bewilderment as she closed the refrigerator door. "I know I had everything." She had been just about to douse her famous enchiladas in Enrique's "famous" hot sauce when she realized the jar wasn't sitting on her kitchen counter where she could have sworn she left it. "Enrique is gonna be thrilled with me when he hears about this," she sighed knowing she would have to hurry down to the Vellejo Mini Mart- Gas Station on the corner of Pickering and Hadley, where her good friend worked to pick up some more. Enrique had started selling his famous concoction out of the mini mart only recently, though he had bottled the sauce for as long as he could remember.
"How could I have lost the bottle he gave me as a gift only two days ago?" She pulled in at the gas station and took a quick peak around the parking lot while slipping on her large sunglasses before she opened the door of her car and stepped out, keys in hand. "I hope Enrique is working today..." She wished he'd just put the bottles out on the shelf instead of keeping them in the back room for "solo mis amigos." If it wasn't so delicious she might have just grabbed a different brand so she could get back home quickly.

One thing that Sean did appreciate about some movie stars were their vehicles. That was what interested Sean more than just about any factoid or fun feature of celebrities... their mode of transportation. It was frustratingly funny and ironic to Sean that he had recently read up in some magazine about the newest celebrities in Hollywood and their cars. He recognized that Porsche in a heartbeat. Lime Green. Normal people don't drive beautiful cars like that in that color. The confirmation was the female getting out of the car with enormous glasses on.
Sean's body then experienced two instant reactions. One was that he felt slightly comforted that he had found this girl, Selena, and that there was a bit of hope for he and Whitney. The second was that his heart rate launched and he began to sweat, even though the temperature wasn't that high. Millions of ways this scenario was going to go wrong were playing out in his mind. He tried to block them out and simply be normal and cool walking to the gas station on a normal and cool day with a normal and cool gun in his normal and cool jacket. 'Focus' he said to himself, audibly but quietly.
Sean then crossed the street quickly and began walking towards the store with one thought... Whitney.

"Enrique? You back here?" Selena peeked through the back door as she pushed it open a little farther. "Anybody?" She stood puzzled that the normally bustling gas station had no workers in sight. There was no clerk standing behind the front counter when she walked in either. That was odd. They must have all lost track of time in the back room. With that she pushed open the door all the way and stepped inside. Cases of chips, candy, and snack mixes stood piled near the door. "Excuse me...Enrique, it's Selena....ya know, su amiga?" she added that last part with a chuckle, hoping to get Enrique's excited Spanglish jabber in reply. Nothing. "I'm here to get some more of your amazing hot sauce." She then heard the noise of what sounded like boxes being pushed along the floor. Good. Somebody is here. She remembered him mentioning something about an mp3 player the last time she came in and smiled. He must just be back here with headphones in. With a sigh of relief she side-stepped through the towering cases of munchies and around the corner to get better view.
