This thread is devoted to movies that you have thoroughly enjoyed. Whether you laughed, cried, simply sat their in shock and awe... tell us what the movie is and why you liked it so.
I'm gonna back up a bit... and instead of talking about The Avengers, I'm going to bring up The Last Samurai, which I enjoyed and still enjoy every now and then.
The imagery, music, culture, action, and characters all made the film one to remember and occasionally watch simply because of its beauty.

Been watching a series called Warehouse 13. There was a line in it that would be an eye-opener in a nightmare.
A disheveled and lost looking man in his late 40's stumbles through the midst of the dancing, heavy music, and flashing, colored lights of a bar.
A young girl spins him around to look at her. "Hey. Wanna have a drink?"
He's caught off guard by the familiarity of her face, but sputters, "No... no. I haven't touched a drink in 7 years."
He begins to turn away before she shouts after him, "Maybe that's because you had enough for an entire lifetime the night you killed me!"

Whoa, mind blown. That would be a very difficult moment to have. I didn't know what you meant on Google+ until I just read this. That makes sense now.
I have the first season on DVD from my sister in law, but Julia and I haven't started it yet because we have a lot of other shows that we watch. I need to start it, eh? Is it cheesy at all?
---
Watched Rise of the Guardians recently... it made me recognize the character "The Sand Man." Neil Gaiman has written a bit about the sandman, but I don't know much about the fable itself. Any of you know about him?

Yes, I can see how that message could have been confusing. Yeah, I'd say watch it when you can. It is actually quite cheesy, and they try a lot of things that they don't pull off too well, but it has a lot of energy and originality. I watch it for the character Pete. He makes me laugh like every episode. So dumb and good natured, but very intuitive. I haven't seen anything on Rise of the Guardians. And I know very little about the Sandman other than Spiderman's fight with him.

Yeah, that's a different Sandman. This guy messes with the dream world.
I would recommend Rise of the Guardians for its fantastic graphics if nothing else. The story is cute (not adorable, just cute), but the animation is heart-warmingly well done. I, personally, dig Santa's forearm tattoos. They make me smile.

Finding Neverland. What a movie. So inspiring and yet so incredibly emotionally destructive. Julia and I watched it a few weeks back and ended up sobbing at the end. I know I cry easily... but that one was a weeper. I thoroughly enjoyed it though. Love the main child actor -- one of my favorites. Can't remember his name, but he's phenomenal. Him and the kid from Secondhand Lions. Also a favorite.

Interesting. I'll look into it. And I must confess that you saying you cried after watching a movie didn't really 'wow' me all that much, but since your opinion is so high of this Finding Neverland, I shall look into it as well. I have heard of it though. Btw, I have two favorite lines of the week. Both from Warehouse 13 and a short explanation of the line. Two main characters are being outfought by a swordsman. The girl distracts him as the guy throws a shield at his face. "Eat shield, swordy!" Claudia, the young, mischievous techy wants to change the ringtones on their ancient communication devices which are called 'farnsworths'. They malfunction all episode. She walks into the room where three of her colleagues are staring at her. "You futzed with the farnsworths." Not as funny in writing. You had to be there.

Hahaha, I still chuckled at the Futzing with Farnsworth line. Julia and I watched the Pilot last night -- t'was pretty good. I see what you mean about liking Pete. He's definitely a reason to keep watching the show. He's very enjoyable. Are you in Season 2? --- I like Stardust. I feel as though I might want to watch it again soon. It's an enjoyable tale.

Oh, good. I'm glad to hear you started. He keeps getting funnier. I totally understand his vibe that he gets. I'm like on episode 2 of season 2. S02E02
I remember watching some of Stardust. I call to remembrance, a thick man dancing in women's clothing. Then I stopped watching it.

Oh man... I laughed at that part. T'was quite bizarre. It's weird though... the main character of Stardust was just in some other movie that I just saw... and I can't remember what it was... oh, Downton Abbey. My wife watched the first episode and I caught the part with him in it... somewhat ruined that actor for me. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the movie. How stoked are you about Iron Man 3, Wolverine, and Ender's Game coming out soon?!

I've seen Stardust! It was... interesting. Looking forward to Wolverine, and need to see them Men of Metal movies. Question though, has anyone seen the Sherlock Holmes movies? Also, on the topic of tv shows, anyone watch Doctor Who?

I do, indeed. Since Christopher Eccleston. Gotta say, David Tennant was my favorite. I'm a season behind on the new ones though.
