I want to do a Star Wars RP.
I know that I'm far too impulse based, but I finished a Star Wars movie marathon today that has been spread out from Christmas Break to Spring Break.
My idea:
We have two plot lines. Whether or not they interweave is irrelevant.
One is a male about age 18 in the Jedi Order. He is a padawan, yet he struggles with the concept of being single for the rest of his life. His main conflicts are man versus society (the societal norms and rules of the Jedi Order) and man versus himself (dealing with the desires of wanting to be married and have children).
The other is a male at the age of 24 or so. He works a normal job on Coruscant. There is nothing unusual about him save for the fact that he is kind of heart. He works hard and uses his money to help others live a better life. He struggles with his boss (man versus man) and he struggles with a disease that occasionally renders him practically cripple (man versus nature). He has seizures which affect his legs. They go numb and lifeless, and he has to attempt to continue on life without the use of them. He attempts to keep his illness a secret, as not many people would hire a liability like him.
I have no names, but I have this idea. I will attempt to post an intro post for both of them tomorrow. I'm planning on getting this thread off the ground in one day. It's crazy, but I'm desiring to make it happen.

Next update:
Jedi Padawan must have a green lightsaber. I am also planning on him having a rather apathetic mentor that was forced to train this guy. That way his struggle is heightened by a lack of a close example of the true Jedi Ways.
I'm thinking that the other guy is going to be a Translator as a profession. He enables deals to go smoothly. Yes, you could hire a droid; however, this guy specializes in actually communicating what the deal needs to hear. (He enables jobs, trades, and deals to go down smoother than they would otherwise)

So you would want to write both of these plot lines? I suppose they don't need to interweave, but I think there should be at least a correlation between the two, otherwise, we might as simply erase one. At least some parallels. They aren't our typical, gung ho story, so I'm actually quite interested. I shall monitor the development.

Excellent.
I was planning on writing both of them; however you are more than welcome to bring another strong character into the weave.
Charles Dickens wrote his books with, often times, up to six different "main" plots running at the same time. I think that our having three to four would be merely flattering to his name by attempting to strengthen the structural fortitude of our stories here on Tchotchke.
I say, grab a character, make one, make it happen. Let us write and write well. I will advance this idea to the Molding Table.

But, on the up side, I'm dedicating this weekend to writing on everything I'm behind on, on here. So, if I don't, kindly mail me a package full of explosives or manure. Your choice. ;D

Lol. What about a combination? Explosive manure. In the words of Anakin, "It gets everywhere."
