Today I was in a class discussing Genders and how they are different... how they are equal, yet their jobs are different.
I guess the big discussion, in my mind is... if someone is a leader, that doesn't make that person better does it... just because the President has more control over the country, doesn't make him a better man than me. We're both equal... so, why do women freak out if guys say that they were made to be the leaders (and I'm referring to relationships, not necessarily all the job positions, because sometimes women do make very good leaders in some work positions).
Just a thread for some thoughts...

Honestly, anyone can be a "leader" as you say. I was the pants in a 2 year relationship with a guy once... it was pretty awesome, like I was always calling the shots. But I think that a reason said female would get upset would be because she doesn't like to be compared - such as when women had no rights... What were we then?? We couldn't do anything...
I guess it is kind of like this; an african american says nigga to another african american, in the SAME context as a white person who just came up and said the same thing...
However, The white person automatically gets down played.
((I don't know why that example came into mind))

All and all, there is no mental difference between men and women. It's all a mind set basically. IF a woman thinks she is better than a man, let her think it. I personally know my boyfriend is better than me, but I still fight him on things - it's a competition factor perhaps?

Just the Corpus Callosume (Sorry about spelling on that last one). It connects the to halves of the brain and is developed through speech (Not the class).

The physicality of the brain might not be different; however, the way that guys think compared to girls is COMPLETELY different. Been dating for a while and I am convinced of that. Granted we're all driven by some of the same motives... like ourselves, for instance... but the way that life is perceived is different for every person and especially between guys and girls.
I, personally, think that it's better for the man to be the leader in a relationship. He needs to be a man and step up to the plate. Now, this doesn't mean that he has to be the most outspoken one or the one who chooses every detail in every scenario; however it means that when things get crazy or fiesty... he makes the final decision and both parties of the relationship respect that and roll with that, ya know what I mean?
I don't think that any one of us is technically "better" than someone else in simple human-ranking. Now, if it came to specific areas, then yes, some are better than others, that's obvious. I can do things that Chels can't, and Ranger can do things that I can't, and Chels can do things that neither of us can do... I recognize... however when it comes to actually someone being all-around "better" than someone else... I don't think that we have the ability to adequately judge that considering the fact that we are simply human and unable to judge the motives, mind, attitudes, etc...
Those are some of my thoughts.

Lol. I'm not sure exactly what I can do that you guys can't do. Just sayin. Except give birth.
My friend last night was going on about how women are always looked highly at, it reminded me of this conversation. He said, males can sleep around with as many people as they want - but if a woman does, they are automatically considered whores.
Then he said it isn't fair that the only people that can birth children is women. And I was like, "Do YOU want that task? I'm sure a thousand women would give it to you."

Lololol. I hope what you said shut him up, Chels. Lol. Good one.
Just took a class called Love and Respect. Epic class. If you get a chance to read the book: do it. Especially if you ever are / plan to get married.
