I am creating this thread so that we can keep the Things You Should Know thread locked up and Stickied so that people can refer to that and not feel as though they should read a Tome of Information. So... first topic... Kavatch. The ruins... I found this pic of a map of it... when did it become Ruins? Is it possible to have been salvaged? Attachments:

Might it be possible to shock this thingy back to life? I remember seeing this post about 3 years ago and started looking into the game.
Since then, I've put about a hundred hours into the game and now it like the back of my hand. I see great potential for this and would love to join in or continue this.

I have not even played this game; however, I might just pick it up simply so that I could get to know it and also so that I could write a cool story here. I'm game to try it out. For right now I would be basically writing with you as a cliche fantasy character, but that could work. Let me know if you come up with a cool storyline. Or we could just jump back into what we were writing. Up to you, broshefski.
Question for you: Is Skyrim connected seamlessly to Oblivion? Is it a continuation of the same world? Cuz I might just pick up Skyrim instead of Oblivion if it is.

Oblivion (to me) is better. partly because it glitches in funny (not annoying) ways at times, and it's more humoris and less dark. Skyrim is roughly 300 after Oblivion and spoils the ending of Oblivion. And the Dark Brotherhood (and assassin group) is better in Oblivion (even if there is less of a side story line for them). Skyrim has dual-weilding magick and swords or sheilds, but also makes everything tougher to make up for it.
Personally, I still like Oblivion. I'm currently at 300+ hours on Oblivion and a little under 50 for Skyrim.

Hrmm... I'm still debating. I don't have tons of time to chuck into games, so part of me wants to go straight for Skyrim. Hrmm... we shall have to see.
