So, I've decided to read a lot more... and I think the way to train my eyes to read faster and more effectively is to simply read more. Just like if you wish to type faster, if you start to IM a lot or chat a lot in games or something along those lines, you will get faster regardless (as long as you follow the right methods).
I've chosen to read Fantasy to increase my reading repertoire.
What series would you, as the reader, suggest? I am currently working through the Harry Potter series (even though I am 21, yes) and I wish to read the Mistborn Series and hopefully the Lord of the Ring Series later on. I have read the Narnia series and a couple of the Prydain Chronicles.
Any other ideas?

Honestly, a light read after all of those books if you have no read them would be the Series of Unfortunate Events..
Regardless your age, they can be quite fun to read. And a break, obviously, from the material you are going to be reading. They get addicting though, and they don't take too long to read. But they will have you laughing because - lots of inside jokes hide within the pages.

I suggest Alcatraz versus the Evil Librarians series. It may offend a librarian if you ask for it at a library, but you will soon learn, they deserve it for teaching us almost everything we know is lies. By the way, if anyone asks, the Royal Archives are NOT a library (Book 3 or 4). These will also increase your vocabulary with little known words such as 'Crapaflapnasti'.

I have read the first... two, I think... books of the Series of Unfortunate Events series and I thoroughly enjoyed them. Great times, indeed. Man, so many books to read and so little time! I finished the first Mistborn book a few weeks back... LOVED it... now into the second one. Highly recommend the series so far... very enjoyable characters, great magic system, and loved the plot!

Just ignore everything else and read like your life depends on it!

3, I believe. He also wrote Elantris, which I am currently listening to on AudioBook. I like it quite a bit.

What exactly is Elantris? He referenced to it on his site, but not much...

Elantris is a separate book that he wrote. It's a different world, not the realm of Mistborn. I am around 15 chapters into it, and it is written in the form of a triple-storyline. The main guy, the main girl, and another guy... well, they are all technically main because it is being written from their perspective... but anyways... it's a Prince, a Princess, and a Priest. (Sounds like the beginning of some funky joke, ) It is a bit bumpier, writing wise, because it is one of his earlier books, but I am thoroughly enjoying it. I think that it has quite loveable characters.

I want to read the Harry Potter books, but my mom and dad don't like the theme of "witchcraft" as they call it. I tell them it almost the same as Lord of the Rings, (which we love).
